Open Research Grant positions in SPECTRUM and SUPERGATE projects

There are currently two open position at the Istituto NANO, CNR Pisa, Italy in the framework of the project:

Vacancy for a Post-Doc Research Grant position at the CNR Pisa  (ref. NANO AR 008/2023 PI)

Research activity concerned: “Activity: “Design, fabrication and measurement of superconducting radiofrequency devices and superconducting resonators”.

Framework project: Gate Tuneable Superconducting Quantum Electronics: SUPERGATE H2020-FET”

Contract duration: 12 months

Requested Degree and other background requirements:

  • Degree in Physics or materials science or electronic engineering, and PhD title in Physics or in Condensed Matter Physics or in Electronic Engineering with a minimum duration of three years;
  • Experience in micro/nano fabrication techniques of superconductor or semiconductor or hybrid semi/super-conductor devices and in particular electron lithography, electron beam evaporation, sputtering deposition, dry and wet etching, experience in electrical measurement techniques at cryo t° with particular regard to characterization techniques at temperatures below 100 mK and at radiofrequency.

Vacancy for a Senior Research Grant position at the CNR Pisa (Ref. NANO AR 009/2023 PI).

Research activity concerned:  Design, fabrication and measurement of electrostatically gated superconducting and semi/superconducting hybrid devices

Framework project: Horizon-Eic-2021-Transitionopen-01 – Spectrum Superconducting Radio-Frequency Switch For Quantum Technologies

Contract duration: 12 months

Requested Degree and other background requirements:

  • Degree in Physics or materials science or electronic engineering and PhD in Physics or in Condensed Matter Physics or in Electronic Engineering with a minimum duration of three years.
  • Two years of scientific-professional experience that is documented by scientific publications;
  • Experience in micro/nano fabrication techniques of superconductor or semiconductor or hybrid semi/super-conductor devices and in particular electron lithography, electron beam evaporation, sputtering deposition, dry and wet etching, experience in electrical measurement techniques at cryo t° with particular regard to characterization techniques at temperatures below 100 mK and at radiofrequency.
